The Castle Sofa transforms from a castle to a sofa (and anything else) and it includes 15 pieces counting the pillow! It is 3” shorter in sofa mode than the original and deluxe play sofas. The material is microsuede like the Deluxe Sofa.

Quality/Durability.

Foam-Oh claims to use “furniture grade” foam with a density and ILD of 1.5 40.

Customer review: The sides don’t stay on unless it’s against a wall. You can’t make anything with it and it stay together. I was so upset to spend $300 on this product.

Fabric

The fabric is double-brushed suede or microsuede produced both in the USA and Overseas.  The fabric doesn’t appear to have any certifications or third-party testing.

Overall Value

The FoamOh play couch gets a 3/10.  The positives: unique shapes for play, fun colors.  The cons: no certifications on the foam or fabric or third-party testing.  It could be high-VOC, contain heavy metals, or other flame retardants. The foam is also VERY soft and not great for fort building or bigger kids.

The foam itself is very soft, it won’t stand up to much weight.  The covers are not made of a very high-quality material - which could have a weird hand feel to some and may not be as durable. They do offer a 3-year limited warrany, but make sure you read the fine print!
